The photos. I like to meet the horse, dog or human that I will be painting, which means taking my own reference photos! But sometimes that isn't possible, so there are other options - more on that later
We choose the pose and the painting size. I often combine elements from several photos, and create a digital layout for your approval. I'll even create a room mock-up so you can see how the painting will look on your wall.
It's into the studio! You'll get to see photos and/or time lapse videos of your painting coming to life.
Upon completion, you'll approve a photo of the finished painting. Once the painting is completely dry, it will be on its way to you!

Paintings can be designed for a specific space or subject matter.
SERIES PAINTINGS
2, 3 or more related canvasses are great for multiple horses or pets. These are often designed for a specific space, taking into consideration whether you will be framing the paintings together as a single unit or framing them separately.
PHOTO REFERENCE
First choice: use a series of my own photos. This means I've met your horse and know something about him. Show photos work well, or we can schedule a photo session to get the perfect pose.
Second choice: a series of photos taken by another professional photographer. You'll get permission from that photographer for me to use the photos in this way, and pay any fees they require.
Finally:
If you don't have pro quality photos, email me what you do have. I
might be able to work from them, but I might have to say no.
PAYMENT TERMS
A 50% deposit is required to book a commission The
balance, plus other fees (below) are due upon approval of the final
progress photo and prior to delivery of the finished painting. Monthly payments can be arranged!
OTHER FEES
Crating and shipping: To ensure safe delivery, all commercially shipped artwork is packaged in either art shipping boxes or custom built crates. Shipping is via FedEx or private carrier.
Sales tax: will be collected on all artwork delivered to California addresses.
Customs and Import Taxes: Customer is responsible for all import fees and duty on artwork shipped internationally.
OPTIONAL FEES
Framing can be done for an additional fee - Framing may increase crating and shipping costs.
